Bye, Bye Instagram

I can't believe I'm even typing this right now. Yes, I have left Instagram and it was a hard to say goodbye. Instagram was a great way to meet AWESOME teachers, see creative ideas, as well as post awesome ideas of my own. It was so much easier to just post a pic and #boom I was done. However, I had this feeling for a few weeks to let Instagram go. I asked my brother for his thoughts, and we discussed it. Then I would just talk to God about it. This social media site was becoming a HUGE addiction for me. The likes, comments, replies, direct messages, tags, etc was becoming to be my life and that wasn't a good feeling. I noticed I wasn't writing in my prayer journal, or taking the time to read my Bible. I was too invested into my IG account. This is when I knew I needed to make some changes. I'm definitely not knocking anyone on IG it's a great networking site. However, I want to just focus on teaching, my blog, and tpt store.  I just want to take the time to say THANK YOU to all my fabulous followers. It was so much fun and I've connected with some really FABULOUS people on there. I was often told that I inspired many people I will do my VERY BEST to do the same here on my blog. I just wanted to share some of the overwhelming love that flooded my feed. Made my heart happy. THANK YOU IG it's been a great ride. On to the next chapter.

  4. Tiffany I am so proud of you for making this decision. I've been conteplating on getting an IG account but I have not. I find myself consumed with a lot of blog reading, looking at IG pics, etc. I've noticed that it is becoming part of my daily routine consistently. I am going to limit myself bc I don't read my bible like I should or could use that time more with family. It is hard but like you, I need to do what I know is right.

    1. Monica, thank you so much for you kind words. YES! I needed to let it go. Too much social media can be more harmful than good for the soul. I can never have too much God for my soul. I will definitely be blogging lots and posting ideas and things that I've done and created with my Firsties. I hope to continue to inspire you through my blog.

  10. I totally understand how technology can take over our lives and take away from that which is most important. I did not delete my account but made a conscious effort to only visit TPT seller forums, Pinterest and blogs twice a week. I am on IG but not as obsessed. I've been doing this for about 4 months and I haven't even seen a drop in sales so I guess it was the right thing to do. You always must follow your heart and what the Lord is telling you. Good for you=) Best of luck! Cecelia

  12. I never told you this on Instagram and now I regret it. I'm a big believer in "signs" from above. On days when something just didn't go right I'd be scrolling through my IG and one of your messages would appear that lifted my day, or gave me some direction for something that would going on in my life. I feel sad but at the same time I understand and wish you the best of luck in everything!
